Non-Stop Fun…

George and Nicole decided to take on an adventure by watching Nicole’s two nieces and two nephews so their parents could have a much needed weekend away. The fun began Friday night with a trip to the Regal Crown Center in Washington County.

After watching a great movie, and filling their bellies with soda, popcorn and candy, George, Nicole, and the kids headed to the car to go home. The car they were driving wasn’t George’s.

Nicole’s sister had left her Expedition since it seated 8 versus George’s car that only seated 5. Once everyone was loaded in the vehicle, the Expedition fired up with a mighty roar. After waiting a few minutes for the vehicle to warm up, George tried to put the Expedition in gear.

Of course, the Expedition had a mind of its own and decided it wasn’t ready to go into gear.

George kept patiently placing his foot on the brake and pressing the shifter. After what seemed like forever with a vehicle full of kids, the Expedition went into gear. George was able to drive the Expedition home and park it in his driveway. The next morning, George decided to see if the previous night was just a fluke.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t, the Expedition refused to go into gear.

George decided to type the symptoms into google and found a video that showed him how to bypass the gear switch.

However, it would require him to disassemble the console. Instead of taking a chance on causing more damage, George called his favorite mechanic Lou at Lombardi Auto Body. Lou believed the problem would require a new brake switch and recommended having the Expedition towed to Lombardi Auto Body for further diagnosis.
